Job description

You will serve as a SUPERVISOR, HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LABOR RELATIONS/EMPLOYEE RELATIONS in the LABOR AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS DEPARTMENT of FLEET HRO NORFOLK.Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience serving as a Chief Negotiator for labor relations matters that include the administration of labor management agreements and the accurate processing of grievances;
  • Experience providing technical and administrative direction to customers relative to the preparation and submission of corrective and adverse actions.
  • Experience providing assistance to labor organizations and management officials to resolve problems and coordinate resolution for third-party actions;
  • Experience using performance management concepts (i.e. employee performance, planning, developing, monitoring, rating, and rewarding employee contributions) in accordance with agency's strategic planning initiatives;
  • Experience developing and conducting a variety of Labor and Employee Relations training for managers and/or subordinates.
