Job Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of maintenance employees (Maintenance Techs, Cosmetic Techs, Painters, Life Safety Techs) who operate and maintain the hospital and support buildings. This includes all equipment listed on the Master Inventory Listing. Conducts building inspections and takes corrective action to ensure problems and deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner. Performs other duties assigned by the Director of Facilities Management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.
- Communicates pertinent information about problems and anticipated problems within the department to Facilities Management manager in an accurate, complete, concise, and timely manner. Reports status of repair and other work in progress and planned at least once weekly.
- Ensures an effective and timely response to after-hours emergency calls regarding electrical and mechanical equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Determines priority for making repairs and installing new equipment based on weather conditions, type of equipment involved, and severity of problem.
- Accesses medication in the pneumatic tube system if carrier needs to be removed or repaired. Schedules and follow up preventative maintenance work requests ensuring that they are performed within 31 days or 5 days as specified in the Policies and Procedures Manual.
Job Requirements:
Requires high school diploma and completion of a vocational program in HVAC or related field. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
Requires a minimum of five year of prior experience in Building Operations.
Job Knowledge:
Requires a thorough knowledge of basic electronics, physics and mathematics and considerable knowledge of applications to HVAC and systems maintenance. Also requires drafting computer, specification writing, communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.

Pay Range:
$57,000 - $90,000
