Job Description


The RMHC (Ronald McDonald House Charities) Global Marketing and Communications team is responsible for the development and execution of the organization’s global marketing and communication strategies. Within that area of responsibility, the team oversees the RMHC brand including compliance, consistency, positioning, and communication across the entire RMHC Chapter system in over 60 countries and regions. The team is responsible for the development of the brand strategy and guidelines while serving as a brand consultant for the individual Chapters. In addition, the team executes Global tactics that support and increase awareness for the brand and the RMHC mission, including planning, development, and implementation across paid, owned and earned media; digital and social media content and campaign creation; public relations; crisis communication; content management across the rmhc.org website; and corporate marketing activation. The team also manages the interface between RMHC and the McDonald’s Global/U.S. marketing and communications relationships to ensure continuity and promote co-brand building.


Principle Accountabilities

The Creative Content and Brand Supervisor will develop and execute creative for marketing campaigns, fundraising events, and RMHC communication channels. This Supervisor will also play an integral role in the governance of RMHC brand elements to ensure alignment systemwide.


The Creative Content and Brand Team supports the RMHC Global Team, 260+ Chapters systemwide and manages the work of creative agency partners. The Supervisor reports to the RMHC Creative Content and Brand Manager.


  • Oversee production schedules for assets used in RMHC marketing & fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Provide input into program briefs and work with/manage multiple agency partners through the creative process and program execution,
  • Provide thoughtful, actionable feedback to agency partners on proposed creative.
  • Deliver against the metrics set forward in annual RMHC Marketing & Communications plans/KPIs.
  • Identify and source stories, stats and content aligned with the RMHC marketing, communication, and fundraising priorities.
  • Reach and influence target audiences by delivering on effective messaging, and creative storytelling.
  • Manage creative requests from Global team and steward timely, high-quality work.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the RMHC Brand Guidelines to ensure alignment with legal and brand standards.
  • Support the audit of content, assets and collateral to maintain the brand's quality and standards.
  • Draft and review content updates to RMHC Global website (rmhc.org.)
  • Review new creative submissions for systemwide brand consistency and provide guidance to RMHC Chapters on local assets and marketing materials.
  • Research and recommend innovative ideas, assets, and opportunities for strengthening our brand awareness efforts and understanding of the mission.
  • Help manage and organize brand assets on internal RMHC resource library.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 3 plus years proven marketing experience in a relevant role; agency, corporate, brand and/or non-profit.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and storytelling/communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills and proven ability to work with multi-disciplined teams.
  • Strong understanding of diverse cultural audiences and leveraging key cultural insights to drive communications strategies.
  • Organized, resourceful, with excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills, and the ability to work within tight deadlines while still maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the philanthropic landscape and community.
  • Experience with design / photo / video editing software (such as Canva, Photoshop or Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is an asset.
