The Construction Supervisor leads the efforts in executing the initial scope review, cost estimating and construction activities for projects assigned. WBS preparation, project cost forecasting and final project documentation are also involved in this project management role. As project manager, this role will ensure that all projects are executed following all company policies and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Detailed knowledge of company policies and procedures, industry practices, construction standards, welding procedures, and OSHA rules and regulations.
- Prepare and submit project scopes, cost estimates, AFE's, completion reports, job books, etc.
- Supervise construction activities and contract personnel for successful execution of projects during planning, construction, installation, cleanup, commissioning and start up phases.
- Lead role in bid process including bid evaluations, contractor and inspection service selections
- Ensure project objectives are met during the construction phase including safety, environmental, security, quality, schedule, cost controls and community relations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- High School or GED certificate required
- Minimum 8+ years related experience which should include a good knowledge of Industry Practices, construction standards, welding procedures, pipeline maintenance and operations, and the use and interpretation of pipeline schematics, as-builts, blueprints and construction drawings.
- Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of driving, walking, sitting or standing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
