Manages the daily coding activities and all assigned coders to ensure the timely and accurate submission of codes to maximize reimbursement and minimize delays in revenue cycle operations. Coding Supervisor will ensures the compliance and adherence to coding guidelines, Medicare regulations, third party payers and charging requirements.
This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm (local time).
We offer weeks of paid training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervises the efficient function of the coding team and assigned associates.
- Responsible for monitoring and achieving HIM Coding accounts receivable goal.
- Maintains turnaround and quality expectations, and provides excellent customer service.
- Adjusts staffing and assignments according to work volumes and secures outside resources when necessary.
- Monitors quality and productivity performance.
- Provides on going education and development of coders and training to new coders.
- Evaluates audit results from compliance and governmental and commercial agencies.
- Identifies improvements in system processes required to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Serves as the departmental coding resource providing support to other departments.
- Assists as needed in the coding to meet account receivable goals.
- Supports the efficient function of the HIM department.
- Assists the Coding Manager in determining staffing needs, work methods, and performance standards to provide excellent customer service.
- Monitors job performance of each assigned associate.
- Manages employees to ensure that department and organizational policies and procedures are maintained, productivity and quality levels are met, and best practice turnaround times are achieved.
- Maintains updated productivity, quality, and work performance reports and logs, associate progress records.
- Provides ongoing guidance and leadership for direct reports.
- Counsels and assists employees in regard to productivity and quality standards
- Conducts annual Performance Evaluation on all assigned coding employees.
- Directly supervises the performance of assigned coders. .
- Provides on-going feedback and coaching on job performance., .
- Ensures accurate timekeeping and completes payroll process.
- Maintains professionalism, growth, and development.
- Increases knowledge and skills of coding.
- Participates in continuing education activities.
- Other duties as necessary.

Required Qualifications::
- High school education / GED
- Must Be 18 years of age or older
- 4 years of coding experience
- 2 years of experience leading a coding team
- Must have one of the following coding certifications: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm (local time).

- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The annual range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Nevada / New York / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $46,700 - $91,300 per year.
