This is a full - time position. The position starts at $25 an hour and increases to $34 based on years of service with SkyWest Airlines.
- Work alongside United Airlines personnel in the Station Operation Center for the Denver, CO (DEN) hub
- Support the SkyWest Airlines operation in DEN by communicating with SkyWest headquarters and local teams to ensure our customers receive the most reliable information and service
- Advocates for SkyWest Airlines best interest for a safe and reliable operation in DEN
- Identifies any hurdles to safety and top operational performance involving gate assignments, aircraft towing, crew movement, and other ground operations
- Establish and maintain direct relationships with appropriate personnel and advocate SkyWest’s operational performance accordingly
- Other tasks required for the SkyWest operation in DEN and as assigned by the Regional Manager – Airport Operations (UAX)
- Previous airline ground operational experience
- Proficient in basic computer programs
- Ability to multi-task on a computer, with multiple programs and systems operating at once
- Proven ability to effectively communicate to a variety of internal and external work groups
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in time critical and stressful situations
- Ability to remain humble while learning and continue learning well beyond the training period
- Takes extra care to ensure work is done properly and effectively
- Takes initiative to adjust daily job duties based on what is required in the operation
Perferred Experience:
- Experience with UA network systems and operational tools
- Experience working at an airline hub
- Understanding of an airline hub operation control center
- Previous airline operational leadership experience
- Working knowledge of DEN airfield and ground operations
- Strong knowledge of airline performance metrics and nomenclature
- Basic understanding of crew scheduling, rest and related regulation
- Ability to provide initial and ongoing proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Possess all necessary credentials to obtain airport credentials if needed
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time
