Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Supervisor Aftermarket Operations responsibilities consist of daily activity of spares, warranty parts, core returns, production and aftermarket kit fill, hose shop and/or continuous improvement activities. It is a priority to establish and maintain the efficient utilization of manpower and space for activities including receiving, order inspection, picking, packaging, crating, shipping, freight activities and return good processing. In addition, maintain the accuracy, condition, and disposition of inventory as well as initiating procedures and necessary training for adherence to applicable policies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

         Motivate and lead high performance teams in the warehouse and/or other areas.

         Ensure operations meets set performance targets through all warehousing functions inbound, in-house, and outbound.

         Maintain the accuracy, condition, and disposition of inventory as well as initiating procedures and necessary training for adherence to applicable policies.

         Supervise all warehouse functions including inventory of incoming packages, inspection of incoming parts for damage, conformity to paperwork, receipt, stocking, picking, packing, routing, hazardous material shipping, export shipping and outgoing package sorting and pick-up.

         Ensure all swift pack and AOG shipments are given highest priority and shipped as soon as possible.

         Supervise the hazardous material shipping requirements including employee education and shipment monitoring to assure established guidelines are followed. Responsible for federal, state, and local ordinances concerning hazardous material procurement, storage, disposal, and shipping.

         Supervise the production of kits in Lawson and SAP environments, and hoses for production and aftermarket.

         Provide necessary information and coordination to solve special accounting problems, traffic problems, transportation problems, or order desk problems which are associated with order shipments or warehouse operations.

         Maintain clean and safe working conditions to comply with various regulations such as OSHA.  Coordinates with EHS to evaluate and solve safety concerns.

         Upkeep electronic personnel files (BOOTS), administer disciplinary action to given performance standards, plant rules, and/or Bargaining Unit agreement.

         Develop and maintain training and cross-training records and methods.

         Maintain inventory record keeping procedures and inventory accuracy through cycle counts at or above Textron guidelines or given targets. Evaluate and correct discrepancies in warehouse outputs and paperwork.

         Responsible for consumable inventory including shop and shipping supplies. Issues purchase orders to replenish sufficient quantities for efficient operations.

         Responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse and respective areas, and adhering to security procedures.

         Supervise management of shelf life and/or work with the Quality department to accomplish.

         Manage cross-functional and multi-departmental projects to enhance operational efficiencies, decrease costs, and optimize processes.

         Supervise the warranty crib and UCI (unused core inventory) areas to ensure efficiency and accuracy in systems and processes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

       Bachelor's degree preferred, or in lieu of a degree a minimum of 5 years aftermarket, warehouse, customer service, manufacturing experience, and/or relative supervisory experience is required.

         Experience in warehouse, logistics, operations or like experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS 

         Experience in project management, aviation aftermarket, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma is preferred

         Previous supervisory experience preferred

         Microsoft programs with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, & PowerPoint

         Lawson Inventory management & SAP Technical skills preferred

         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

         Team building and conflict resolution

         Attention to detail and process oriented

         Excellent problem-solving skills
