Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Cash Control Accounting Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Operations Accounting Supervisor.
Reporting to the Cash Control Accounting Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to support the performance accountability and development of the Cash Control Accounting team. This job ensures that billions of dollars in annual ‘cash’ is properly reconciled and recorded in the general ledger. This position partners closely with our Banks, CSC’s, DSC’s, and our Cash Management and Information & Digital Systems (IDS) team members to address and bring closure to issues/tasks as needed.
What you’ll be doing
- Oversee the daily/monthly balancing of various system applications to the general ledger activities and development of 3-6 team members
- Promote effective teamwork and an inclusive environment for all team members - hold team members accountable for performance expectation and address performance issues in a timely manner by engaging in candid discussions
- Ensure all daily/monthly tasks are completed by established due dates and prepare and review monthly account reconciliations according to policy and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
- Review applicable month end general ledger account balances prior to close to ensure reasonableness of balances
- Review SOX narratives/controls quarterly to ensure accuracy and update processing procedures as needed
Qualifications
What you bring
- High School Education or Equivalent although Four-Year College Degree preferred
- A minimum of 5-10 years of Accounting and Supervisory experience
- Excellent problem solving /Analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Excel skills
