The Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center is seeking a School Based Mental Health Clinic Supervisor to join our team. This position is a terrific opportunity for someone to gain additional experience and make a difference in the lives of our clients.
For over 45 forty-five years, our organization has provided mental health and holistic services in northern Manhattan for families, children, adolescents, and other adults including the elderly in a supportive and caring environment. We also have an out-patient and residential substance abuse program as well as a Therapeutic Preschool for 3-5 year olds.
Upper Manhattan Mental Health Center is a Certified National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Supervisor, SBMHC
Location: School based mental health site
Hours: Full-time, Mon.-Fri. 35 hrs./wk. 2-5 days at school site. Days outside of school will be in person or remote as assigned.
Union: Non-Union
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- LCSW to supervise therapists and Social Work Students at OMH Licensed School Based Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Services (MHOTRS) program, serving ages 3 to 18, to ensure service quality, efficiency, productivity, and client engagement in accordance with regulatory requirements and the standards of Bowen CSC.
- Provides clinical supervision and training to therapists and interns.
- Monitors clinical productivity, documentation, and treatment planning.
- Supports therapists in discharging clients and appropriate referral to external supportive services.
- Responsible for clinic audits; adheres to OMH reporting requirements. Ensures program is perennially audit ready.
- Ensures clinical staff adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
- Serves as intermediary between clinicians and the program director regarding clinical needs and other program related concerns.
- Carries a caseload of clients and completes a minimum of 50 hours of service a month.
- Will make regular visits to schools where students and staff area assigned.
- Will provide training and consultation to school staff with supervises.
- Will attend monthly meetings with school personnel.

Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- LCSW required.
- Bilingual Spanish Speaking required.
- Experience working with young children.
- Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of range of treatment modalities applicable to the program's client population.
- Must have completed the SIFI or will take it as they supervise a minimum of 3 students.
