Neighborhood Manager Job Summary
This position oversees the daily operations within one of our four neighborhoods.
Neighborhood Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all resident care.
- Oversee the day to day operations regarding residents and staff.
- Read communication book and document any concerns that need to be addressed.
- Direct supervision of staff including training, evaluations and disciplines.
- Scanning documents into electronic charts.
- Resident, family and staff follow up at one month and as needed.
- Ensure all resident documentation is complete and on file.
- Weekly medication ordering and ensure that meds are arriving from pharmacy in a timely manner.
- Coordinate new admissions with Pharmacy in EMAR.
- Monitor and record monthly weights and monthly service plan reviews.
- Monitor new doctor and treatment orders.
- Audit and correct all incident reports before filing.
- Monitor room inspection forms for employees and address problems as needed.
- Communicate all med changes and changes in condition to the Clinical Manager and to families.
- Coordinate Home Care/Hospice services and ordering of DME.
- Organize Podiatry visits and Annual Flu Shot Clinic.
- Rounds with doctor.
- Organize resident discharges.
- Be available for calls from your staff, fill open shifts for call ins either by finding coverage or may be required to work any shift that can't be filled.
- Complete HCA renewal assessment paperwork along with Standing Orders and review with designated representative, annually or as needed.
- Update assessments and service plans for changes in condition, an annually.
- Communicate with outside physicians to coordinate care.
- Schedule, track and assist in fire drills.
- Order wound care supplies, med cart supplies and tub cleaner.
- Tour prospects as needed.
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Neighborhood Manager Requirements and Qualifications
- Prefer at least two years of experience working with the senior population.
- Prefer at least one year of management experience.
- Be familiar with EMAR programs.
- Must have good references from previous employers.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good conversation skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
- Patient and calm, and be able to handle difficult situations, in a respectful manner, with residents, resident family and staff.
- Reliable, compassionate, and willing to serve others.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
