Superintendent/SSHO - DoD Government Construction Project Orlando, FL

ERS Corp is looking for a safety manager / site superintendent located in the Orlando area. ERS Corp is performing a security enhancement project at the Army Reserve Facility near Orlando International Airport. The project will begin in March 2024. The site safety officer and superintendent will be responsible for being present on site daily for as long as site activities are being performed, supervising project progression, conducting safety meetings, interacting with subcontractors and facility personnel, producing daily reports, and communicating with ERS management

Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Daily on-site management of project and subcontractors

Conducts site progress meetings, quality control meetings, and safety meetings

Ensures site and company policies and procedures are communicated and followed

Comprehension of project specifications, scope, and site regulations

Produce daily reports

Inspects work in progress for adherence to quality control, specification, and schedule

Implement, enforce, and administer the Accident Prevention Plan, all required Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), Quality Control Plan, and Environment Protection Plan for the project

Maintain applicable safety reference material on the job site

Promotes a safety culture that provides a safe and healthy workplace

Performs related work as assigned

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

Experience in site supervision

Experience as safety officer

Experience with Security, Access Control, Communications related projects

Experience managing government contracts

Minimum Requirements:

HS diploma or equivalent required

Active certifications including 40-hour OSHA

Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Able to pass background check

Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and ordinances governing Occupational Safety

Knowledge of designated safety policies and procedure

Prior Experience as project superintendent/QC/SSHO on federal, state, or government projects

Quality Control EM 385-1-1 Certification

First Aid CPR AED
