Pontchartrain Partners, LLC has an immediate opening for a Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent that is based out of New Orleans, Louisiana! The Superintendent must but willing to travel to our project sites throughout the South East, South West, and the Midwestern United States.
Scopes of work:
Include but are not limited to Federal level heavy civil and marine construction specifically related to coastal restoration, rock dikes, bank stabilization, weirs, levee construction, levee repairs, underground utilities, pile driving, structural concrete, and building construction.

General Job Duties:
- Directly supervise employees
- Manage the coordination of all the site equipment, labor, and materials as well as program in time deliveries of material with Office Engineer
- Constant contact with the PM to ensure schedule, cost and production is met and to anticipate management required with other third parties2
- Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
- Order tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules
- Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods
- Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules
- Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports
- Minimize unexpected costs and non-commodities in quality
- Attend coordination and production meetings with the PM to develop activities and amend possible problems related to structures
General Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 10 years of relevant Heavy Civil Construction experience
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contract drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and administrative skills
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Federal experience a plus
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
- Ability to meet all assigned deadlines
- Keen attention to detail
- Must meet all essential physical requirements necessary to do this job
- Must be able to obtain necessary clearance and/or approval to work at Pontchartrain Partners, LLC job sites as specified by applicable Government entities
