Cox Paving is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent / Project Coordinator to be a leader within our team. We are a perfect spot for a highly experienced superintendent, or an experienced foreman who is looking for their chance to finally move up.

Key Accountabilities:

• Coaches, leads and manages team members to develop a capable and engaged workforce. Provides daily/weekly guidance to Foreman/Crews. Assists Foreman with meeting project production goals , QC requirements, and adherence to necessary safety protocols/procedures. (20%)
• Assist General Manager with development, coordination, and implementation of daily/weekly schedules to efficiently control job cost and ensure proper and timely completion of projects. (20%)

• Prepares & Distributes Job Folders for Foreman, Reviews and communicates the scope of work to ensure everyone is on the same page, bought-in and accountable for their areas of responsibility. Reviews and Communicates Project Details/Progress/Issues with Estimators/PMs. 

  Assists Estimator/PMs with coordination/communication with customer/owner/inspector. (20%)

• Pre-plans for projects to control cost and quality. 

  Assists PM’s with identifying/communicating/processing change orders. (20%)

• Assists Estimators with reviewing and evaluating potential projects. Provides input on durations/sequence/methods/equipment. Assist with site visits and take-offs of current bids. Meets with customers to review site and develop scope of work, sequence, material needs, and quantities. (20%)

• 5 years experience managing construction projects.
• Understanding of ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) specification book.
• Previous interactions / relationship with ODOT.
• Proven record of leading and developing foremen and lead employees.
• Visualize project life cycle prior to starting work.
• Strong respect for quality of work.
• Effective time management.
• Basic computer / tablet.
• Customer relations.
• Excellent communication skills.
