Responsibilities:
- Complete work orders (such as basic repairs, carpentry, appliance repair, patching, painting, plumbing, etc.) generated by tenants
- Quickly turn apartments to make them move-in ready for potential tenants
- Ensure all common areas are kept clean and safe
- Ensure trash and recycling areas are kept tidy and ready for pickup as per city schedule
- Assist the Property Manager on special maintenance projects as necessary
- Ensure that all submitted work orders and attempts to complete work orders are documented appropriately in a timely manner on the AppFolio property management portal
- Communicate with tenants regarding scheduling of repairs
- Communicate with and coordinate scheduling with outside vendors as needed
- Project a calm and friendly demeanor with tenants and outside vendors
- “On call” for emergency concerns (HVAC, flooding, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of various tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair work
- Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Good communication skills to interact with tenants and understand their needs
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 per year
