For almost 30 years, Sentinel Offender Services has provided community based, offender-funded monitoring services across North America. Working with law enforcement, community corrections agencies and the court system, we provide customized offender management solutions that help to reduce recidivism and improve reentry success. These solutions combine electronic monitoring technology, alcohol and substance abuse testing and community-based offender management programs.
$7.25 an hour when at home- this is paid for every hour of your shift- this is your minimum pay per hour for the hours scheduled below. Payrate increases to $18.50/hr when active- from the time you get the call until you return home. Number of call outs vary.
Shift: Sunday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM and Monday 5:00 PM to Tuesday 7:00 AM *Guaranteed active time Sunday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Sundays* On-call the remaining hours.
The Technician provides a service to the contracted Department by handling monitoring equipment installations, orientations, removals, and troubleshooting. Duties will also include participant data entry into user interface and communication with Court personnel regarding alerts. In addition, this position requires the cleaning, testing, orders, returns and overall management of equipment and supply inventory.
Job Expectations + Essential Functions
§ Responsible for conducting participant’s program orientation. Effectively communicating the program rules, regulations, and contract requirements for their assignment to the electronic monitoring program.
§ Install, remove, exchange, and visually inspect electronic monitoring equipment assigned to program participants.
§ Clean, maintain, and prepare electronic monitoring equipment for use.
§ Enter and modify participant data in monitoring center computer application.
§ Maintain inventory records by keeping precise records, completing RMAs, and placing orders consistent with local operating procedures.
§ Advise Department personnel of participants that do not maintain equipment properly or not in compliance with their program requirements.

EDUCATION
No minimum education requirements. Some education background in Criminal Justice related field preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
§ Experience in Criminal Justice or related field recommended but not required.
§ Must successfully pass criminal background investigation and drug screening.

§ Professional communication skills to communicate with members of the Department, Judges, employees, and program participants.
§ Ability to work in Microsoft Office applications and other windows-based programs.
§ Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed information. Ability to prepare written reports and maintain accurate records.
