TheSummer Works Staff will work in various departments in the Institute contributing to business operations in a courteous, professional, and responsible manner. Responsibilities may include administrative support, facilities support, research support, educational support and/or patient care aide dependent on the department in which the individual is working.
Responsibilities: - Provides general supervision of patients in inpatient or outpatient playroom.
- Interacts and engages with children to help create a welcoming, stimulating, and child-oriented environment.
- Assists Child Life & Therapeutic Recreation staff in facilitating developmentally appropriate social-recreational activities.
- Maintains the safety, cleanliness, and orderliness of the playroom toys, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensures patient confidentiality, respects patient rights, and models appropriate behaviors in the presence of patients and their families.

EDUCATION:
At a minimum, the individual must be currently enrolled in a high school education program or equivalent at the junior or senior level. Some college preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
No experience required, though previous experience working with children preferred.
