POSITION TITLE: Summer Program Director
CONTRACT: Approximately 10 hour per week, starting May 1st. Then present throughout i3 Academy Summer Program (June 13th-July 13th)
REPORTS TO: Community Liaison and Chief Academic Officer
JOB GOALS: To ensure the operations of the summer program are run in an efficient manner and students/families/staff are prepared and equipped each day.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Program Director will lead, guide and support the program staff while also making sure student safety is a priority
- Point of contact with summer grant program and curriculum contact. Lavinia RISE curriculum
- With support of assistant directors, the Program Director will ensure that all staff/volunteers are prepared and all supplies are ready
- The Program Director will manage and direct all activities of the program and routine lunch coverage, including all required testing
- This position also oversees all organization, staff onboarding, and training
- Enforce, in accordance with i3 Academy guidelines, reasonable rules of summer classroom behavior and appropriate techniques that are consistently applied
- Provide operational support, consistent staff scheduling, and logistical plans of the program both inside and outside the classroom
- Includes managing the online, over the phone and in-person registration support of all programs
- Follow all i3 Academy policies and procedures
- Create a physically and emotionally safe environment conducive to learning by employing a variety of appropriate coaching and co-teaching opportunities
- Responsibility for the safety of children during their summer experience
- Application and responsible management of personal information and student health records
