Description
Are you seeking part-time summer employment? Know someone interested in making a positive contribution to the parks? Working with the parks is perfect for those who love the outdoors and are interested in pursuing a career in outdoor recreation.
Guilford County Parks is hiring hourly summer staff for Bur-Mil Park, Gibson Park, Hagan-Stone Park, Northeast Park, Southwest Park and the Passive Parks & Trails team, starting hourly rate is $15 per hour.
Examples of Duties
Attendant
$15.00/hour
Performs responsible work in maintaining park grounds and some light equipment.
Lifeguard
$15.00/hour
Perform responsible, professional, specialized work as it pertains to pool safety, enforcing rules and regulations, and preventing injuries.
Cashier
$15.00/hour
Performs work to receive and disburse money which usually involves the use of cash registers and processing credit or debit card transactions and validating payments.
Event Host (Northeast Park)
$15.00/hour
The Event Host takes care of any facility related needs of customers who have rented the facility after 5 pm on weekdays and on weekends and holidays.
Pool Manager
$18.50/hour
Assist in the supervision of lifeguards and staff for the Guilford County park pools, ensure accurate pool usage records, and overall safety of the pool facilities.
Swim Team Assistant Coach (Bur Mill Park)
$15.00/hour
The Swim Team Assistant Coach teaches competitive swim strokes while assisting the head coach in helping plan team events and other duties assigned.
