Description
LOOKING FOR APPLICANTS TO FILL VACANCIES IN HANA AND LANA'I
Summer Program dates are June 10, 2024 - July 26, 2024, Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays.
Training dates are June 3-7, 2024, various times and locations.

Implements a County-wide program at a PALS Sports & Cultural Day Camp site. Demonstrates knowledge of recreational principles and practices, safety operations, and program management. Promotes a positive working environment by encouraging team work, respect, cooperation, and open communication. Trains and supervises subordinate staff, oversees all planned activities and events, mediates parent and staff concerns in a professional manner. Understands and implements accessibility standards and policies, prepares weekly reports, and attends all required meetings. Performs other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Training & Experience: (1) Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, physical education or recreation and 2 years of professional level experience in planning, organizing and directing recreational activities or (2) any equivalent combination of training and experience in the areas specified above. (Present or submit evidence of training or experience, e.g., official transcript, diploma or resume, with references.)
TB Clearance: (Prior to Interview)
Vehicle & License Requirement: Must have a vehicle and a valid motor vehicle driver's license (equivalent to State of Hawaii Type 3).

The above examination is being given on an open-competitive basis to establish an eligible list which shall be effective for not more than one year unless extended by the Director of Personnel Services.
