Summer of Promise Intern

Cincinnati Urban Promise in Cincinnati, OH is looking to hire a full-time Summer of Promise Intern to work with a partner to supervise a group of 20 students in daily activities. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SUMMER OF PROMISE INTERN

In this internship position, you make a significant difference in the lives of the kids attending our Summer of Promise Academic Enrichment Program. Your main goal is to build quality, supportive, and loving relationships with the youth and their families. Each day, you supervise a group of 25-100 youth in grades K-8. Some of the ways you help them include leading them in age-appropriate activities, modeling good behavior, and providing a safe learning environment. Your relationship with Jesus Christ helps you to act with kindness and maintain a positive perspective.

In addition to your on-site efforts, you transport students to and from the program and to all field trips. During these excursions, you continue to ensure each child's safety and participation. To provide the best experience possible, you monitor, record, review, and evaluate programs and goals, making sure that data is accurate. You report this data to the Out-of-School-Time Director and the director of programming so that they always have a clear knowledge of how each student is doing. You find great fulfillment in working with youth and contributing to their success!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to learn how to operate a 15-passenger short bus

WORK SCHEDULE

This internship position goes from June 10th to July 25th. The schedule will be 7 am - 3 pm, Monday - Thursday.
