The Tennessean, located in Nashville and the state's largest news organization, is seeking news reporters for its competitive summer internship program.
Interns will work full-time with the city, business, breaking news or music teams for 12 weeks. Interns will also gain experience in digital optimization.
The internship program includes weekly tutorials with award-winning journalists from around the USA TODAY Network's South region and other opportunities to network.
Applicants should be juniors, seniors or master's candidates pursuing journalism degrees and passionate about beginning their careers in the field. Interns should have strong writing skills and be ready to report multiple stories per week.
Ideal applicants will have prior internship experience or experience working at university news outlets. Interns are required to live in Nashville for the duration of the internship.
