About The Program:
This summer you have the opportunity to join the exceptional Grocery Outlet Corporate team. Our Emeryville, Ca based program gives students real-world work experience while learning about our amazingly unique business model. In addition to your project you will be exposed to all areas of our business. Along with your day-to-day project work you will get to lunch & learn with our executives and explore what a career at Grocery Outlet is really all about. Just in case you were wondering, we hired almost 50% of our interns from last year!
Each intern will have the opportunity to work on a project that will help us solve an actual problem within our organization. No hypothetical projects here! This is a 10-week paid internship that will run from Tuesday June 18th – Friday August 23rd.
About The Project:
You will assist with the creation of digital asset management system for social media content that can be published via corporate channels or operators in their store channels.
Responsibilities Include:
- Research digital asset management systems (DAM’s) currently available
- Recommend changes to our current process to utilize learnings from DAM’s that were researched
- Learn and document the process of utilizing Box for tagging content effectively to allow better searches to locate assets
- Organization of creative content by media type (i.e. still images, social media videos, etc.)
- Create naming convention and location for all file types and document the process (operator visible vs corporate use only)
- Assist in the ideation of social media content
- Develop/consolidate training materials for independent operators on how to use social media effectively (Facebook, Instagram, etc)
- Independent project management
- Relationship building
- Learning as much as you can
- Having fun!
About The Pay:
- Base Salary: $21.00 Hourly
About You:
- New Graduate, Rising Senior or Master’s Student enrolled in an accredited program as of June 2024
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear and concise communicator
- Experience writing/editing/proofreading
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Motivated and proactive with a can-do attitude
- Experience with Excel, data entry & management preferred
- Familiarity or prior experience with an intranet platform preferred but not required
- Local to the Bay Area
- Must be able to work in the Emeryville office 3 days a week
