Summer Intern - Land Survey

Job Summary:

The Summer Intern is involved in a wide variety of projects that provide a foundation on which a successful career can be built. Our diversity of work and discipline affords the Summer Intern the opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of the land development process, from concept to construction. As a multidiscipline firm, we offer a collaborative environment in which the Seasonal Intern has the unique opportunity to interact, learn, and grow every day.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work in the field to complete various Land Survey projects in the region
• Assists with all tasks used for construction, map making or other purposes using Robotic total station, GPS, level and other surveying instruments
• Compiles notes, sketches, and records of data obtained and work performed

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity with industry specific software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products
• Valid Virginia drivers license and a satisfactory driving record

Education and Experience:

• Carlson software experience preferred
• College coursework towards an industry specific degree required
