Gain first-hand knowledge in the hospitality industry while spending a semester in a unique island resort setting. Moody Gardens’ goal is to help our interns gain a broader understanding of the industry and how to provide a memorable guest experience. To achieve this goal, interns focus on a specific department while rotating to a new department one day a week to gain insight in all areas of hospitality.
Tasks include, but are limited to:
- Assist with the handling of account details to ensure a memorable experience for clients
- Shadow managers to learn about department operations
- Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled
- Miscellaneous duties as required
- Currently studying hospitality or related field
- Must be reliable and responsible
- Ability to effectively work with internal and external customers
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Ability to remain on feet walking around property for long periods of time
