Internships at Baker Electric are paid opportunities designed to equip students with invaluable hands-on experience. Our internship program provides both paid Summer Internships as well as internships offered for academic credit. These positions are available during the summer break or post-graduation, providing students with the chance to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting.
Participating interns undergo comprehensive on-the-job training, fostering the seamless integration of education, career development and learning initiatives. About our program:
You, as an intern, will work alongside knowledgeable team members solving real-world construction industry challenges in Project Management, Engineering, Estimating, BIM, and more!
Our Summer Internship Program is a 10-12-week paid opportunity, and we are looking for students with the following majors:
- Construction Management
- Construction Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Architectural Engineering
- Renewable Energy
- Finance, Marketing, Accounting or any other related major
Other majors will be considered if students have a specific interest in a future working in the construction industry.
Internship Program Activities
Throughout the summer, interns will have the opportunity to participate in many networking activities outside of their day-to-day duties.
Some of our activities include:
- A company overview with CEO, Ted Baker
- A panel discussion with our Executive Leadership Team
- Learning & Development classes focusing on Communication including:
- How to use DiSC, How to Communicate in a Multigenerational Workplace, How to speak in Public, etc.
- Jobsite visits
- National Internship Day - a fun activity day
- Shadowing key contributors of other departments.
- And much more!

PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The starting salary for this opportunity range is listed. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. Baker providesa variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, Employee-Owned Program (ESOP), paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
