Summer Impact Lead


Job Summary:
To serve as the Summer Impact Lead for the Summer Site (June-August) by managing, organizing and carrying out all activities for 7th and 8th Grades. This position reports to the Kids Klub Director.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assignment of duties to site staff to ensure appropriate supervision of students during all program activities. Keep your ears and eyes on students for appropriate conversations.
  • Greeting children and parents by name as they arrive and depart from the care site.
  • Monitoring student behaviors established behavior guidelines and carry out appropriate guidance and reinforcement.
  • Interacting with all students at their age level in a positive manner.
  • Attending all necessary staff meetings as directed including parent orientation meetings, workday meetings, and any special meetings. (As needed)
  • Keep Kids Klub Director informed of staffing needs, concerns, or challenges. Inform associates of all relevant information.
  • Prepare and execute daily age-appropriate activity planning in cooperation with Director and Assistant Director. Including but not limited to field trips, activities, guest speakers and more.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly care environment.
  • Provide communications to enrolled families outlining upcoming activities, schedules and agenda.
  • Oversee completion of all site paperwork for the attendance of students, weekly totals. Help with open/close duties daily as needed at assigned site. This position has at least two direct reports.


Applicants must be willing to meet all Department of Human Services standards including:
must submission of both state & federal criminal record checks, completion of training for Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse, First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, providing a current physical. Must have knowledge of DHS guidelines for school-aged students.


Qualified applicants must meet DHS On-Site Director qualifications by having direct childcare/youth programming experience or certifications, AA or BA degree in a child/youth/elementary education field preferred.


Applicants must be 18 years of age.


Terms of Employment
:

Tentative dates: June 3rd through August 16th.

Daily Hours: Approximately 8 hours 5 days a week approximately 8:00-4:00
