At Camp Tuku, our mission is to provide a holistic approach designed to integrate the mind, body, and heart and teach children how to nurture their inner worlds. With a focus on developing mindfulness and awareness, our unique Summer Camp experience offers a profound opportunity for kids to learn and practice simple, fun tools for self-awareness and self-expression, as well as daily techniques to respond more effectively to stressful situations in their lives.
Description of the role:
Camp Tuku counselors are the first level of support for campers both in your assigned bunk & during activities within your specialty. During meals/evenings you will support campers within your bunk providing supervision, ensuring physical safety and emotional well-being, and generally being a great role model. During the day you will facilitate activities within your specialty.

Responsibilities:
●Serve as the big brother/big sister, parent and 24/7 role model for campers.
●Facilitate daily program activities within your assigned specialty area & other support as
needed around camp including evening activities.
●Ensure the campers' physical and emotional well-being needs are being met.
●Build positive relationships, leading interactive games, facilitating daily camp activities, and modeling positive behaviors and mindfulness practices.
Qualifications:
●Must be at least 17 years of age for Junior Counselor role/ 18 for Counselors.
●Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, passion for working with children, and an ability to be silly and have fun!
●Have some college education or equivalent work experience, and remain a non-user of
tobacco and alcohol during the dates of employment.
Requirements:

COVID-19 & MMR.
●Background check

●CPR/First Aid
Certification preferred
Required Dates:
Online pre-camp training is
required for all staff.
Arizona:
- Training: June 12 - June 15
- Session 1: June 16 - June 22
- Session 2: June 23 - June 29
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $700.00 - $800.00 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
