Summer Associate/Law Clerk

The Law Firm of Alex Dell, PLLC is an established law firm of nearly twenty years with offices in New York and Florida. We represent injured workers across the State of New York for workers' compensation claims, Social Security Disability benefits, New York State Disability Retirement benefits, and disability and death benefits under the Public Safety Officers' Law.

We are currently seeking a Summer Associate for Summer 2024. The Summer Associate will have the opportunity to gain firsthand training on how to represent injured workers in claims before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board and Social Security Administration.

· Drafting appeals, rebuttals, and memoranda of law under managing attorney supervision

· Perform legal research

· Shadow administrative hearings and medical depositions before the NYS workers’ compensation board

· Assist with administrative duties in our workers’ compensation and social security disability departments.

· Other duties as assigned by supervising attorneys

· Must be currently enrolled in an accredited law school.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with all staff and clients.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
