Description & Details:
The NDSU School of Natural Resource Sciences seeks applicants for six (6) full-time Summer Aide positions to assist with Field Research on sugarbeet insect pests. Position responsibilities include:
- Assistance with insect monitoring, plot maintenance, and field data collection/entry
- Good work ethic, conscientiousness, accuracy, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are required
- One or two overnight trips may occur (lodging is reimbursed and per diem is paid on overnight trips)
Work Schedule:
- Late-May to mid-/late-August (somewhat flexible; opportunity to extend)
- Up to 40 hours/week
Advertised Pay:
- $18/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid U.S. driver's license + at least one year of driving experience
- Physical ability to do field work
- Willingness to work long days outdoors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agriculture- or biology-related major
- Experience with sugarbeet or other crop production
- Previous agricultural research experience
