Your Role

The Intern supporting the enterprise Supplier Diversity program will be a key contributor within the Procurement and Business Services team at Victoria’s Secret.  The Intern will work with and support the Supplier Diversity leader on several key projects specific to the category of Supplier Diversity and will offer recommendations for a variety of ongoing decisions impacting day-to-day and future-state business objectives.  This position helps develop and supports market strategies and provides technical support and industry knowledge for all aspects of the SUPPLIER DIVERSITY program.

Your Impact:

  • Identify opportunities to expand SUPPLIER DIVERSITY procurement using benchmarking data, best practices and external board representations to achieve corporate goals. 
  • Support the Supplier Diversity registration portal and database for external suppliers and vendors
  • Contact suppliers to update vendor profile information (certifications)
  • Support Supplier Diversity (Tier II) reporting to share with internal stakeholders to raise awareness to various Supplier Diversity initiatives
  • Support Supplier Diversity (Tier II) reporting by managing Tier II data, quarterly reporting, and managing the administrative task of the software tool
  • Plan, organize, and carry out travel for events in support of Supplier Diversity initiatives.
  • Attend local and non-local Supplier Diversity events and connect with prospective suppliers and vendors on behalf of Victoria’s Secret
  • Educate diverse suppliers on the benefits of the Victoria’s Secret  supplier partnership and network
  • Gain a working knowledge of the “back end” of the Enterprise spend database – that drives overall procurement category strategy
  • Drive supplier innovation by doing market research, data gathering, defining parameters and requirements, root-cause and ad-hoc reporting and analysis, etc.
  • Act as a liaison across all channels internally, customers and suppliers
  • Provide a term-end overview of key projects and accomplishments to the Procurement and Business Services leadership team at the end of the Intern program
  • Serves as the principal contact for all national and local councils and organizations for sponsorship, involvement, engagement, and branding possibilities.

Minimum Salary : $23.00

VS&Co provides an estimated range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual compensation will be determined by a number of relevant factors, including but not limited to your specific skills, experience, & geographic location.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Undergraduate student in Economics, Women’s or Minority Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Business Supply Chain or Purchasing
  • Basic understanding of procurement and sourcing concepts, supply chain, and financial analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors, peers and external audiences.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity with a strong desire to learn
  • Demonstrated ability to present ideas logically and concisely to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to execute tasks in a thorough, accurate and timely fashion while managing multiple, competing priorities
  • Ability to translate complicated concepts into simple business terms
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on quality assurance
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Displays critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrates flexibility with work assignments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Self-motivated, self-starting, team driven, and a creative thinker
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Experience in project management is a plus
  • Experience with retailers, manufacturing, end-to-end supply chain, and/or financial analysis is a plus
