Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
A. General Administration
- Familiarize yourself with the regulations, policies, and procedures of the park district.
- Students will work in the areas of program development, facility management, written and oral communication, human resources, budgeting, purchasing of equipment or materials, training of employees, evaluation of both programs and personnel, customer service, park maintenance, operational, and program manual development.
- To be willing to work the times and days assigned to you, including evening and/or weekend hours.
- To be tactful, friendly, and courteous, and respectful to all. The manner in which you conduct yourself will reflect on the Lombard Park District and on its public image.
- To attend all recreation staff meetings unless specifically instructed otherwise.
- To visit observe and participate in all phases of the agency's operation.
- To attend assigned meetings including EAC and Safety Committees.
- To make the most of any free time you may have while in the office-ask questions, offer to help others, study manuals, magazines, and books available for your information.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Support, promote, and make recommendations regarding all safety, health, and loss control policies as adopted by the park district.
- Be familiar with the Employee Safety Manual.
- Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks.
- Responsible for providing all injury, illness, and health information required by the Lombard Park District in its effort to assign tasks within an individual's capacity to prevent potential injury or illness.
- Responsible for notification of injury or illness relating to a task management as described within the Lombard Park District Employee Safety Manual.
