Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Reverse Engineering & Vulnerability Research Intern to join a diverse team creating unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.

Dynetics’ Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) Department is seeking a cyber engineering intern with requisite skills and interests to support solutions for the U.S. defense and intelligence communities. The engineer in this role will support cyber programs with a focus on software Reverse Engineering, Vulnerability Research, and object-oriented software development. The candidate must be willing to work in-person at our offices in Huntsville, Alabama.

Basic Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a B.S. (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cyber Engineering with a current GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Experience with object-oriented software development using C++, Java, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and associated ecosystem of tools.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Other Qualifications

  • Active U.S. security clearance preferred.
  • Familiarity with software Reverse Engineering and related tools (Ghidra, IDA).
  • Familiarity with Vulnerability Research and exploit development techniques.
  • Familiarity with embedded system software/firmware and real-time operating systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and emulation technologies (VMware, VirtualBox, QEMU).

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,200.00 - $79,900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
