Position Title:Success Express Shuttle Bus Driver

Essential Function:ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
The Success Express Shuttle Bus, in partnership with PACE Suburban Bus, provides free transportation between Triton College buildings and the 318 PACE bus stop on the corner of 5th Ave. and North Ave.
QUALIFICATIONS:
AGE:Must be at least 21 years of age.
EDUCATION:High school diploma, equivalency, or higher.
EXPERIENCE:Must hold a valid Illinois Driver’s License.Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License preferred.Must have a good record of safe driving for the last 5 years.
SKILLS:Excellent customer service skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWelcoming and friendly demeanor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with boarding and deboarding of vehicles including use of accessibility ramps.
- Adhere to PACE and Federal Transit Administration guidelines and regulations.
- Comply to random drug testing and physicals (including testing for alcohol and marijuana).
- File a defect card daily, noting mechanical and body defects on vehicle.
- Maintain a daily worksheet and passenger count.
- Complete an accident/incident report when necessary.
- Report any route detours or delays to the Office of Student Life
- Contact the Triton College Police Department whenever passengers might require assistance of police, medical, or other services.
- Other duties as assigned.

Special Instructions to Applicants:1. Rate of pay of $18.50 per hour, or $21.50 (CDL); maximum 28 hours per week.
2. Official transcripts required prior to employment (if applicable).
3. Recommended hire will be subject to pre-employment screenings.
4. Triton College is an AA/EOE.
SHIFT HOURS:Monday – Thursday: 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. while classes are in session.Monday – Thursday: 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. while classes are NOT in session, but college departments are open for course registration.*Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include some nights and weekends
