Job Summary:

CORE is the Raytheon Technologies Continuous Improvement operating system that aligns all major elements of the business and its processes so that they work together in a harmonious system. Business Units and Support Teams will transform and mature using CORE tools and methods in a series of activities and events.

The Senior CORE Manager will be working directly with the senior leadership of the Subsystems Make Center, factory leaders, and support teams to ensure the CORE Operating System is used to deliver results by improving business metrics and delivering to customer expectations.

The Senior CORE Manager will ensure that CORE systems and processes are in place, best practices are implemented, CORE culture is robust, and accountabilities are established to improve overall operational effectiveness. You will work alongside business and Operations leaders and their teams to optimize business processes and develop talent within the operating system.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Lead a team of CORE focal, improvement leads, and support functions.
• Guide leaders in understanding and usage of quality and Continuous Improvement methodologies
• Coach and train team members, business leaders and employees on practical application of CORE principles
• Effectively communicate implementation progress within and across all Subsystems teams and locations
• Through the rigorous use of change management disciplines, drive initiatives, processes, and CORE throughout the business and across the value stream
• Plan, facilitate and lead VSM/Kaizen/CI events and transformation projects.
• Liaise with the RMD CORE Office
• Assist the Subsystems organization in aligning and executing on annual improvement targets.
• Lead Cross-functional teams to evaluate existing business processes and ensure linkage to the company's goals and improvement targets.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of ten (10) years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience leading the development of Lean practitioners.
• CORE Professional or Expert certification
• Value Stream Management experience
• Certification in a recognized Continuous Improvement discipline, or 10+ years of Continuous Improvement experience required.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
