As a Substitute Teacher, you will provide instruction, facilitate learning, and maintain a positive and safe classroom environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Qualifications:
- Two years of college required
- Bachelor's degree in Education (preferred)
- Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching certification (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching styles and environments
- Knowledge of instructional methods and techniques
Responsibilities:
- Follow lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher and deliver engaging and effective instruction to students
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies
- Provide support and guidance to students in their academic and personal development
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of instruction
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding students' progress and behavior when necessary
- Adhere to all school policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and student progress
