QUALIFICATIONS
- Current RN, BSN, or PEL-CSN licensure
- Certifications for CPR/AED
- Experience in school nursing and community health nursing preferred
- Perform routine school nursing procedures
- Monitor and facilitate the health office functions
- Address routine and emergency health situations in the health office and school building
- Assess the health needs of students, administering first aid when necessary
- Maintain health office supplies
- Maintain required health records and student health data
- Administer medication
- Perform general office duties such as word processing, operating office machines, handling telephone calls, filling staff requests, delivering messages and entering computer data
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school nurse, principal, or administration
