Position:Substitute Order Taker (Temporary / Seasonal #538725)

The Hotel:

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Major responsibilities:
  • Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement
  • Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Departmental Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement
  • Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Guiding Principles and D.E.L.I.G.H.T as part of ensuring Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
  • Provide excellent service at all time to all of our guests
  • Assist guest courteously and efficiently, provide service to accommodate any guest’s request.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of food and beverage in order to assist guests with suggestions and up sell our products, including liquors and cocktails.
  • Do all the side works and preparations of the equipment's for the continuation of the operation
  • Be responsible for taking accurate F&B guests orders over the phone and placing it in the InfoGenesis system
  • Demonstrate a pleasant telephone etiquette when taking orders and quoting the right timings for delivery
  • Check accuracy of order input to ensure it is complete before sending to kitchen.
  • Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything
  • Open and close checks correctly and make sure that reports match correctly by the end of the day
  • Communicate effectively with servers and chefs on special orders
  • Be responsible for taking decision during absence of management
  • Check on daily amenities ordering, assigning of rooms, deliveries and charges
  • Keep the office organized and daily paperwork filed and updated
  • Attend food and beverage training classes
  • Deliver all checks and report to the appropriate place at the end of a shift according to rules
  • Setup and maintain the In Room dining environment and material perfectly clean as per side work description.
  • Following the posted opening and closing duties and side work sheet
  • Attend all pre meal/communication meeting
  • Attend monthly department meeting
  • Perform side work duties include
  • Copies of paper work
  • Small assigned projects
