Job Summary:
- Manages classroom and provides instructions according to plans as prepared by the Classroom Teacher
- Provides classroom environment which promotes active learning
- Assists the teacher with all aspects of the daily routine, including distributing and collecting supplies, keeping attendance records, lunchroom duty, recess, etc.
- Works with students to help reinforce learning objectives
- Adheres to all Washington County Schools policies and procedures
- Uses appropriate judgment to act in the best interest of students at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator
Rates of pay
- Non-licensed, non-certified substitutes: $80/day
- Non-licensed, certified substitutes: $90/day
- Licensed substitutes: $103/day (must upload a copy of current teaching license with application)

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher
- Experience working with children in a school setting
