Substance Abuse Treatment Admissions Counselor

Position Summary:

The Assessment/Entry and Engagement Counselor is responsible for collecting and compiling sufficient information to assess and determine the appropriate need for services, document the results of findings, initiate referrals, and engage individuals in services. Assurance of legal and ethical standards. Overall assurance that service delivery is consistent with the agency’s mission.

This position will be cross-trained with other department positions. Duties may include performing functions of other positions on any given workday such as intake and customer service.

This is a full-time M-F position; Must be willing to work evening hours; shift hours are TBD

Compensation: Starts at $23/ hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• CADC I Certification or Above
• High school / GED Completion

• Criminal Background check conducted by the Department of Human Services Background Check Unit
