Serenity Light Recovery is an all inclusive Substance Abuse treatment facility nestled on 10 acres in Angleton, TX. We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Therapist to join our team and help clients and their families who are struggling with addiction. The Therapist will be responsible for conducting therapeutic interventions including counseling, treatment, and helping clients create action plans for recovery. A successful candidate will be able to assess client needs and develop an effective program of intervention which meets their goals while encouraging the use of available community resources.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of other medical professionals to develop rehabilitation programs.
- Carry out treatment assessments and treatment planning for substance addiction.
- Keep records of client's progress in treatment program.
- Conducts individual, family, education and group therapy.
- Shares clinical information gained with the treatment team in regular staffings and on daily basis when needed.
- Provides client care in a supportive and empathetic manner.
- Initiate contact with family members and other outside providers
- Seek clinical supervision and support when complications arise in therapeutic setting or therapy sessions
- Provide specialized therapy services to assigned clients when licensure and training allow or refer to others when needed. These include family therapy, EMDR, Equine, and specialized Trauma therapies
- Assist in compiling and creating materials for use in education and therapy groups.
Required to alternate working weekends with other therapist as needed and to alternate on call phone.
Qualifications, Education, Skills and Expertise Required
1-2 years experience working with clients that have a substance use disorder and other co-occurring disorders. Experience with EMDR, Sex Addiction, Disordered Eating , and specialized Trauma therapies experience is recommended.
Must have completed or have license to work while completing supervised internship hours in the state of Texas for the following : LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT or LCDC
