Job Description
Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level Software Engineering to support and development of software testing and sustainment for the 309 SXMG group. This will include planning requirements, analysis testing reporting, and development of test documentation and scripts.
Individuals must be able to attain and maintain a valid US Government security clearance to be retained in the position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilizes the Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool provided by SXMG to plan and track assigned tasks.
- Provides engineering and technical services for the SXMG.
- Provides a technical contribution to team problem-solving in a variety of settings including day-to-day interactions, meetings, leadership briefings, formal, informal, non-technical, and technical reviews/peer reviews.
- Develops and applies rules, procedures, or operations to identify issues/problems early and determine effective methods and actions for resolution.
- Interacting with internal and external customers to communicate information and coordinate actions.
- Providing expert guidance to individuals/teams on complex issues/problems that may cross-functional areas, and working to resolve conflicts.
- Developing and advising on technical issues and procedures and communicating them to all levels, both internally and externally.
- Modifying the inherent technical interface document or test plan to reflect any software modification and brief all changes to the executive leadership (Project Director and Supervisor as needed) and team.
- Provides software scripting language support at a minimum Bash, Python, and/or Pearl.
- Performs Software Engineering and development support to include experience in Software Engineering and development using C, C++, and Java.
- Performs software testing support include experience in software testing with; Test Planning, Test execution, Test reporting, Unit testing, Regression testing, and Stress testing.
- Additional beneficial software testing and systems engineering capabilities and tasks are specified.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3-6 years of experience required
- BS/BA in Computer Science Engineering or related degree (MS/MA is preferred)
Skill & Certification Requirements
- Software testing in support of complex systems
- Automated test tools
- Scripting Languages (bash python Perl)
- Agile or DevOps methodologies
- CMMI (desired)
- DoD or Aerospace system support (desired)
