Job Description
The Studio Programs Manager oversees the educational programs for José Mateo Ballet Theatre, and reports to both the Managing Director and Artistic Director. This is a full time exempt position and requires 30 working Saturdays per year. Additionally, full time staff attend/staff up to 20 events per year.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing and scheduling all Studio Programs, including children’s classes, adult classes, rehearsals, special events, and rentals
Primary responsibility for the management of the Cambridge campuses, including:
Responding timely to inquiries from new and existing students
Creating strategy for growth of the school through marketing and promotions (with the Marketing Associate)
Establishing and stewarding partnerships around school programs
Planning all school activities and other programs as needed, including Open Houses, Spring Repertory Concerts, YouthWorks, Year End Demonstration, and student participation in festivals
Managing the scholarship program and collecting tuition and fees
Scheduling and supervising pianists, teachers, work-study students, interns, and maintenance staff
Facilitating faculty - parent interaction
Maintaining attendance records
Administering evaluations
Coordinating and supporting the Artistic Director in scheduling and developing quarterly faculty meetings
Tracking metrics as assigned
Implementing, maintaining, and updating policies and procedures
