Studio Programs Manager

The Studio Programs Manager oversees the educational programs for José Mateo Ballet Theatre, and reports to both the Managing Director and Artistic Director. This is a full time exempt position and requires 30 working Saturdays per year. Additionally, full time staff attend/staff up to 20 events per year.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and scheduling all Studio Programs, including children’s classes, adult classes, rehearsals, special events, and rentals

• Primary responsibility for the management of the Cambridge campuses, including:

  • Responding timely to inquiries from new and existing students

  • Creating strategy for growth of the school through marketing and promotions (with the Marketing Associate)

  • Establishing and stewarding partnerships around school programs

  • Planning all school activities and other programs as needed, including Open Houses, Spring Repertory Concerts, YouthWorks, Year End Demonstration, and student participation in festivals

  • Managing the scholarship program and collecting tuition and fees

  • Scheduling and supervising pianists, teachers, work-study students, interns, and maintenance staff

  • Facilitating faculty - parent interaction

  • Maintaining attendance records

  • Administering evaluations

  • Coordinating and supporting the Artistic Director in scheduling and developing quarterly faculty meetings

  • Tracking metrics as assigned

  • Implementing, maintaining, and updating policies and procedures
