Studio Developer - Games Responsibilities
- Work with the technical team to design and author software and/or software systems in both single player and multiplayer environments using C++ and Unreal Engine 5 on PC and the Meta Quest 2.
- Identify software requirements, write high quality code, and design a robust architecture.
- Conduct and participate in code and design reviews.
- Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, stability, and robustness of various systems and resource management.
- Drive improvements throughout the code base alongside the rest of the technical team, both adhering to and contributing towards engineering standards and best practices.
- Debug and conduct performance analysis and optimization for software and games development.
- Telecommute from anywhere in the US permitted.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interactive Technology, Digital Game Development, or related field and six months of work experience in job offered or developer-related occupation. Requires six months of experience in the following:
- C++ programming
- Working with Unreal engine in a technical role
- Writing code that works within an established game architecture
- Collaborating with other Designers, Artists, and Production to achieve product goals
- Gameplay programming and implementation
- Linear algebra and multi-variable calculus skills, with a focus on 3D geometry and trigonometry calculations
- Working with version control, bug tracking, and code review systems.
