General Information & Responsibilities
The primary duties of this student employee will be filing, copying, and collating materials, and computer data entry. This position may involve some counter work to cover employee breaks and lunches, where the student employee will be expected to greet and take requests from the students, employees, and the public.
Description of Duties
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
a. Scan, index, verify paper documents into correct student records in the college’s student information system.
b. Make copies of documents and forms as requested.
c. Organize (by alphabet and/or by date) documents for archival storage.
d. Enter data into the computer.
e. Greet people in a cordial manner.
f. Answer the phone and take messages.
g. Strictly adheres to federal FERPA, state privacy regulations, and college policies regarding confidential student records information.
PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
a. Works directly with the Registrar.
b. Works cooperatively with instructional departments, Bursar’s, and Student Services departments.
c. Works cooperatively with district-wide faculty and staff.
d. Works cooperatively with federal and state agencies, as needed.
Education & Experience
Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours college coursework at Black Hawk College required.
