ResponsibilitiesThe Embedded Microsystems and Sensors Group at Draper is seeking a Student Undergraduate Internto support the development of requirements, architecture, interface documentation, system specifications, and system test for systems in mission domains such as: embedded secure communications, advanced electronics miniaturization, edge processing and computing, trustworthy secure platforms, and autonomous air/sea vehicles. This role will involve working across a multi-disciplinary team innovating new microelectronics system solutions over the full system development lifecycle.
Responsibilities of this position:
- Participate in discussions on requirements and system specifications.
- Document system requirements, interfaces, and specifications
- Document system test procedures and test results
- Support analysis and simulation of electro-mechanical interfaces
- Support and document bench testing and environmental testing of microelectronic systems
- Communicate with team members to present work to the technical and evaluation community.
A successful candidate will be motivated to build deeper expertise in underlying microsystems technology. This position will provide exposure to a range of advanced technologies (including inertial sensors, imagers, precision electronics, and advanced algorithms) as well as provide growth opportunities in the development of capabilities to address challenges in national security.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field.
- Familiarity working with cross-discipline teams on projects.
- Familiarity with creating and delivering presentations of technical work.
- Basic understanding of microcontroller systems and sensors and general electronics
- Basic understanding of executing test procedures with specific instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical and mechanical simulation and modeling including: Thermal analysis, signal integrity analysis, SolidWorks, FEA
- Familiarity with laboratory test equipment such as: DMMs, Power Supplies, Microscopes, Solder Stations, and Oscilloscopes
