Job Summary
Reports to the Associate Dean of Student Records/Registrar and works collaboratively with program faculty and coordinators to complete the evaluation and posting of transfer credit in a fair, efficient and equitable way. Serves as a member of the Student Records Office team and performs universal duties regarding all records and registration processes.
Job Duties:
Enters coursework from other colleges and universities into PeopleSoft.
Works within the ALT guidelines to determine general education status of courses from accredited transfer institutions and posts equivalencies in PeopleSoft.
Works with program faculty in evaluating general education courses that have not previously been evaluated to determine course equivalencies to be entered into PeopleSoft.
Enters new school and new course data into the BCTC transfer equivalency table.
Serves as consultant to faculty, staff and students on transfer credit policies and provides training for faculty and staff as needed.
Enters and posts credit for AP, CLEP, STEP, Articulated credit and all other external credit.
Participates in professional development as time and resources allow. Complete IT, Sexual Harassment Prevention and any other required training modules. Attend KCTCS and BCTC trainings as needed.
Process universal Student Records duties as assigned. Will also assist in answering office email and covering the front desk as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Student Records/Registrar.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree and three years related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong Problem Solving Skills
A positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet.
Experience working with general office equipment including copier, fax, telephone.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus.
