As the Student Nutrition Intern, you will assist with operations of the Athletic fueling stations, campus wide activities, and so much more! Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.
Assist the campus dietician in planning and implementing nutrition outreach and events.
Assist with the nutrition education programming including tabling events, Scrappy's market, nutrition classes, and cooking classes.
Assist with the creating nutrition-related marketing material such as social media posts, flyers, educational material, and handouts.
Assist the dietician with audits of menus, offerings, and signage in dining hall and POD markets on campus to help ensure equitable access to food for those with specific dietary requirements.
Assist the dietician in managing the fueling stations and assist in daily operations like: Product inventory, ordering, receiving, distribution of goods, snack preparation, and maintaining cleanliness.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Scrub, clean, and sanitize counters and floors.
Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage.
Adhere to the uniform policy.
Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, mopping, and ware washing
Other responsibilities and assignments as assigned by the dietician.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
