St. Vincent's Medical Center is actively hiring into their StudentNursing Fellowship program for qualified Nursing Students scheduled to graduate Spring of 2025. The Student Nursing Fellowship is a paid position for students to gain practical experience by being immersed in a nursing specialty and experience the role of the RN at Hartford HealthCare via classroom, clinical, and professional development between their Junior and Senior year.
At St. Vincent's Medical Center we provide an immersive, unique learning environment for our Nursing Fellows, offering an opportunity for highly specialized training in the following areas:
- Critical Care
- Emergency Department
- Medical-Surgical
- Obstetrics
- Flynn Oncology (BSN Students only)
- Operating Room
- PeriAnesthesia (PACU)
Program Schedule: Eight (8) week program beginning June 3, 2024. Student Nurse Fellows work 36-40 hours per week during the program based on placement.

Requirements:
- Rising senior BSN or ASN nursing student (Projected graduation of Spring 2025)
- GPA 3.2 or better and in good standing at school
- Unofficial transcript may be requested if selected for interview
- Current resume
- At least one letter of recommendation from a nursing school faculty member
- Personal Statement addressing the following:
- Why are you interested in the fellowship program at Hartford HealthCare?
- What specifically interests you about each specialty you are applying to?
