Position Responsibilities :
Join Mount Sinai Medical Center as a Student Nurse Tech! This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting, while focusing on your main priority, nursing school!
- Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, responsible for providing basic patient care such as bathing, feeding, taking vital signs, and monitoring patients' behavior and physical condition.
- Ensures patient personal and oral hygiene needs are met daily and/or as necessary. Provides catheters care daily and/or as needed. Reports any pertinent observations to RN.
- Completes assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor/Registered Nurse, including assisting patient with activities of daily living.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in accredited school of nursing and have completed fundamentals of nursing courses.
- BLS certification required.
Schedule
- Minimum of 2, 12-hour shifts per month
- Day shift: 7am-7pm
- Night shift: 7pm-7am
