Job Title: Student Life Coordinator

Job Summary
TKA is a Christ-Centered school grounded in a Biblical worldview, and we are looking for a Student Life Coordinator who is a follower of Jesus Christ and is dedicated to the school’s Christ-Centered mission. The primary responsibility of this position is to carry out TKA’s mission of enduring relationships while managing all student activities under the supervision of the Dean’s Office to meet the social and emotional needs of students and the TKA community.
Requirements:Essential Job Functions
Regular Activities
- Create a holistic and long term vision and mission for Student Life on campus that reflects the values and the mission of TKA while representing the diverse student body
- Develop and create a campus-wide calendar of student events
- Direct, plan and review the student activities on campus
- Supervise and advise student leadership in the planning, scheduling, and implementation of events
- Manage the Student Life budget and ensure funds are used to further the mission of Student Life
- Coordinate the approval for all student events and arrange for the use of facilities
- Provide oversight and implementation of the student election process
- Oversees and monitors student clubs to ensure they are meeting and effective
- Works with PR to collaborate on the publicity of school activities
- Create, manage and supervise social media presence for TKA’s student events
- Collaborate with VPA and Athletics to support their events
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff to specific student activities
- Identify and ensure proper supervision of all student events
- Teach two classes (Student Council and Yearbook)
- Perform other duties as assigned by Administration
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 2+ years of experience (student activities, youth pastor, or similar field)
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership qualities and mentoring skills
- Excellent skills in communicating both orally and in written form
- Able to work both independently and in a team setting
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example
- Familiar with current practices in the organization and facilitation of student leadership and events
- Interpersonal skills using patience and courtesy
- Current on teenage culture
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Required to use the computer throughout the day
- Work will be performed from the campus
- Will move throughout the campus during the day
- May occasionally have to lift up to 20-pounds
- Work is generally performed throughout the year, Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 3:15pm
- This position will often require you to work nights and weekends based on the Student Life event calendar. This position will also participate in our annual Fall retreat and Spring service trips which are both overnight trips.
- The months listed are approximate, and the annual start and end date will be dictated by the school calendar and the department’s needs.

- Pay Grid: Manager III
- Pay Grid Range: $70,970 to $83,152
- This position is paid based on a preset salary grid, and the actual salary will be determined by applicable education and experience as determined by the Human Resources department. The starting pay listed reflects this position's minimum experience and education requirements. The top pay range represents the top of the pay grid for this position. It is rare for a candidate to enter this position at the top of the pay grid. Most candidates can expect to enter in the lower to middle section of the pay grid, depending on experience and education.
